Nationwide Contest on “Digital India-Transforming Society & Lives”

 

Digital India,  a flagship programme of Government of India that aims to transform India into a knowledge economy and society by using the transformative power of ICT in all the sectors of citizen’s lives.

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, along with other departments of the central governments and various state governments have launched a number of services and products to benefit the citizens and businessess.

In order to be aware of the ground level impact of the digital services and products, National e-Governance Division (an independent division under  DeitY) propose to run contests on “Digital India-Transforming society and lives”, where citizens will be encouraged to share their experiences either as a beneficiary or as a service provider.

How to participate in “Digital India-Transforming Society and Lives” :

Anybody can participate in this contest and submit the testimonials in two ways:

  1. Video
  2. Text

The contest is available on the following platforms

  1. Volunteer Management System (www.negd.gov.in/vms/home)
  2. MyGov (www.mygov.in/ (link is external))
  3. Social Media handles (www.facebook.com/OfficialDigitalIndia (link is external), https://twitter.com/_DigitalIndia (link is external) )

Duration:

The contest will run from 22nd April to 5th May on all the above platforms.

Prices:

All the received entries will be collected and reviewed by a panel of juries. There will be cash prizes and other motivation to ensure that a large number of people are motivated to participate and share their views.

For Video Submission:

  1. First prize:      INR 10,000/-     (one entry only)
  2. Second prize: INR 5,000/-       (up to three entries)
  3. Third prize:    INR 3,000/-       (up to six entries)

For Text Submission:

  1. First prize:      INR 10,000/-     (one entry only)
  2. Second prize: INR 5,000/-       (up to three entries)
  3. Third prize:    INR 3,000/-       (up to six entries)

Apart from the cash prizes, there will be certificates of appreciation and recognition via Digital India Social Media handles.

Valued contributors will also get opportunities to be part of various Digital India movies and other publications, which the government publishes from time to time.
