VLEs in Telangana held Digital Literacy Awareness cum Special Registration Drive


Telangana, in Adilabad district, VLEs conducted special registration cum awareness drive in the tribal villages of Ichoda and Jainath mandals of Adilabad and have branded it as Mana Gramam – Digital Gramam (Our Village – Digital Village).

The drive was conducted by VLE Mr. Gajanan for last 15 days at Rampur Taraf, Guda, Akoli, Jamini, Sirisanna Umri and Gimma villages in Jainath mandal and disseminating Digital Literacy.

The camps were attended by Akoli Sarpanch Shri Keshav and MPTC Athram Doulath. All the The VLE has successfully trained all the citizens of Akoli village and it is now a 100 % Digitally Literate village. A total of 1150 beneficiaries have been registered from his center, of which 800 have been trained, and 760 are certified.

Mr. Prashanth konda conducted this special drive on the 8th and 15th of this month in the tribal villages of Malyal, Yapalguda, Mediguda, Mankapur, Raiguda, Talamadri, Sirikonda of Ichoda Mandal, Adilabad District.

Sarpanch, Smt.Naitham Gangamani Garu of Malyal, Sarpanch. Sri. Bheemrao Garu of Mankapur participated in the drive. Out of 150 attendees 48 members were registered under the NDLM scheme.

Adilabad, EDM Sri. Ravi Bandi, Ichoda Mandal, Education Officer Sri. Uday Rao Garu, Sirikonda Sarpanch, Sri. Oraganti Pentanna, MPTC. Sri. Balaji, General Secretary of Youth,Sri. Swamy, VRA, Sri. Shaik Ayyub were also a part of the session.

The importance of Digital literacy was explained by Sri. Ravi Bandi and created awareness on NDLM programme. He also,took an oath to make Sirikonda a 100% Digital Literate village.

Young population of the village attended the program. They felt very happy to learn about the various Digital services and were keen for more such sessions.
