1. How your company started?
I had just moved back to India from the United States and was making decisions on what was next for me. I had met my co founder: Ravi Kamdar, on one of his trips to the US and decided to connect with him via LinkedIn.
Shortly after, we were trying to figure out where we would meet. Since I was new to the city, I wasn’t aware of many places and we ended up meeting at a noisy coffee shop. This is when Clyng came about, since we had both found it difficult to figure a quiet professional space to work or have a meeting. Clyng was founded in January 2018!
2. What was the vision behind it?
Co-working is expected to receive $400 million in investments by the end of 2018 and is set to grow by 40-50 per cent to reach over one million sq ft of leased ‘alternative’ work spaces by the end of the year in India. This presents a huge opportunity for occupiers with easily accessible, affordable, on-demand workspaces.
With office rental costs continuing to rise across India’s business districts, the total space leased by coworking operators in the top cities could potentially stand at nearly 7–9 million sq ft by 2020.
The most prevalent reasons for using shared spaces across the globe are reduced costs, no fixed capital investment and increased flexibility. Clyng aims to curate this market by doing just that, providing even lower cost, even more flexibility and still no fixed capital investment.
It is important to point out that millennials will represent the largest generation in the workforce in the coming years which will cause a structural shift in the way business is done. It is estimated that by 2025, Generation Y will represent about 75% of the global workforce. Via survey carried out by FlexJob, it was concluded that 82% of the millennials cite flexibility as a major factor when evaluating job prospects. This is exactly what Clyng claims to do, provide professionals with affordable flexible temporary professional work spaces.
3. What your company actually do?

4. Difficulties which you have faced or you are facing.
Growth. Over the next 12 months, the Clyng team will be focusing on customer acquisition and raising funds as a part of our growth strategy. We plan to have at least two years of solid funding, whether that is through angel investors or VC (venture capital) investments or through our private savings.
We will begin to reach out to investors for funding over the next few months. We want to ensure that we have a high quality product which is sustainable in the market before reaching out to investors and moving on to the growth phase.
5. How your company is helping India to grow?
We are bringing an innovative concept to India and providing quality solutions to the Cowokring industry. Similarly we are aiming to provide high quality services and user interface to our clients ensuring bringing a excellent experience to the Indian market.
6. Message to young entrepreneurs.
Have short term goals and long term goals, write them down, keeping adding to them and read these goal everyday. Don’t worry about what 6 months later will look like, plan today to ensure you achieve where you want to be in the future.
Learn something new everyday, have a positive team, work hard with your team and have compassion! You will be working with different individuals and as a leader your people are as importance as your product or service, for you to be successful.
