Indian Government will be launching the “Start-up India” movement on 16th January, 2016. Aim of this event is to celebrate the entrepreneurship spirit of India’s youth.
The event shall be inaugurated by Shri Arun Jaitley, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs at 9.30 Am in Vigyan Bhawan on 16th January,2016. The Guest of Honor for the event will be Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry.
Discussion on various topics related to entrepreneurship is planned to happen. The topics shall include :
- Unleashing Entrepreneurship and Innovation: What do Indian Startups Need to Grow and Prosper.
- Celebrating Women: Stories of Innovative Women Entrepreneurs.
- How digitization will change India’s future.
- Making Indian Healthcare Leapfrog.
- Financial inclusion is within reach.
Minister of State for Finance Shri Jayant Sinha will be the panel judge for the discussion on “Show Me the Money: How do we Capitalize Entrepreneurship?”. There will also be a Question and Answers session named “Face-to-face with Policy makers”. There will also be interactive talks with the global leaders and venture capitalists. This event will be attended by the Top 40 CEOs and founders of Start-ups, Venture Capitalists and Angels investors from Silicon Valley. Google will be conducting an innovative session titled “Launchpad Accelerator”. President & Chief Operating Officer of SoftBank, Nikesh Arora will interact with participants on aspects related to Start-up funding.
Prime Minister, Shir Narendra Modi will be addressing the closing session.
This event is organized by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion ( DIPP ) along with Invest India, iSpirit, YourStory, NASSCOM, SheThePeople.tv, Kairos Society and youth wings of FICCI and CII.
